Raising Spirits and Eyebrows with Bold Branding

HomeLifestyleRaising Spirits and Eyebrows with Bold Branding

The Tufted Titmouse is the most common backyard bird in America. Two Titmice Vodka is a premium craft spirit with a mission that goes beyond just offering a smooth and flavorful drink. Founded by Ed Malin, owner of Angie’s Subs with locations at Jacksonville International Airport, and Jacksonville Beach, the brand was inspired by his wife Kristan’s personal battle with breast cancer. What started as a deeply personal journey of support and survival has evolved into a powerful movement aimed at raising awareness and funding breast cancer research.

Kristan Malin’s diagnosis in 2016 turned the Malins’ lives upside down. Facing surgery, and the emotional toll that comes with cancer treatment, the couple navigated their new reality with determination. As Ed watched Kristan fight, he felt compelled to do something that would honor her strength and help others facing the same struggle. His idea was to create a vodka brand that would combine their love for fine spirits with a cause that mattered deeply to them both.

In a poignant reflection on the brand’s creation, Ed Malin shared, “Kristan’s strength through her breast cancer journey was a daily inspiration. Two Titmice Vodka is our tribute to her and to all those fighting breast cancer. We wanted to make sure that every bottle sold could contribute to the fight and help others find hope and healing.”

The name “Two Titmice” itself carries meaning. It’s a playful and bold take on the “pink ribbon” symbol, but with a touch of humor that represents the light-hearted spirit the Malins have maintained throughout their ordeal. It’s a reminder that even in the hardest moments, humor and heart ache can go hand in hand.

A portion of every bottle sold goes toward funding breast cancer research, early detection initiatives, and survivor support programs. The Malins have partnered with the National Breast Cancer Foundation and local Florida organizations to ensure that their efforts have a direct and meaningful impact on those affected by the disease.
