For many of us, the notifications would be rough. And many would opt to silence them.
Meanwhile, your brain would be frantically searching for the name of the actor from that movie you loved in 1987, and your hips would be filing a formal complaint about the mattress.
The human body is an amazing machine, but let’s be honest, after a certain age, it becomes a very chatty one. We asked three people a question: If your body could send you a text message, what would it say?
Let’s hear from them…
“Dear Linda, we need to renegotiate our relationship. We can still garden for three hours, but we’re going to need a heating pad, comfortable shoes and a nap. We gotta talk about these midnight trips to the bathroom.” — Linda McNeal, 67
“My body would send a group text. My knees would complain about stairs, my eyes would demand brighter lights, and my back would text, ‘Seriously?’ Meanwhile, my stomach would remind me that tacos at 10 p.m. are no longer a good idea, no matter how I feel at the time.” — Mark Halvern, 58
“I would probably send a message that says, ‘We’re doing alright, but we need to change some things. Stretch more, drink more water, and stop trying to carry all the grocery bags in one trip. We heard that crackling sound when you stood up.’” — Evelyn Bass, 74
